A large number of our parks are near the shore or are at least one hour’s drive from it. The beaches of the UK are among the best tourist destinations this nation has to offer, no matter what time of year it is. However, those beaches truly shine during the summer months. Warm weather, thundering waves, fresh sea air, and soft sand between your toes? Simply said, things don’t get much better.

Family-friendly events frequently take place in our parks. We like to think that our park wardens take delight in making sure there is some family fun in our parks, whether it be a Pitch and Put or a badminton competition. Or, if you’re seeking for more daring pursuits, our wardens can suggest the greatest locations to visit in the region to live life to the fullest.

We have just come back from Salcombe Regis caravan park. What a great week we had! We went with our touring caravan for the Sidmouth Folk Festival. We were made very welcome and the site was lovely. Toilet/shower block was cleaned regularly; there was no litter; there was an excellent, secure dog walking area; there were well signposted footpaths to the coast with a lovely walk to Sidmouth. The staff were professional, friendly and interested and they were all willing to help with any of our queries/questions. The site is secure with ANPR access. There was plenty of room on the pitch for our van, awning and car. We had grey waste disposal; EHU and a tap within 15 feet of the van, so we were able to connect direct. When we did use the toilet block, it had a washing area, plenty of toilets and showers, a laundry and use of a freezer for ice blocks etc.Alun Stewart
