Park Home Living – A Lifestyle Not Just For Retirees

As an ever increasing number of people choose the simplicity and lower living costs associated with the park home lifestyle more and more people who still have busy careers are choosing the developments as their homes too.

One couple, Keith and Louise Hanks, Keith, 60, is a Designer for Aga Range Cookers and Louise, 50 a receptionist at Total Fitness, were drawn to the lifestyle after health reasons necessitated a move from an old cottage in Northwich to a bungalow or single storey property.

“Our circumstances had changed and we had no option but to look for a bungalow to support our health needs, yet, there was so little choice available in the location and price range we had that we just couldn’t find anything that suited us,” said Keith.

One thing that attracted the Hanks to park home living was the ability to design elements of their home themselves. Keith’s skills meant he was able to work with the park home manufacturers to design many elements of their home to ensure their needs were catered for in every way. This has resulted in a stunning 1,000 sqft home giving the couple ample space for all their belongings plus entertaining family and friends.

“We both still work so are the perfect example that such developments are not just for those that have retired or have limited funds,” said Keith. “We love our new home, have made lots of new friends and the real sense of community ensured we felt safe and settled in a very short space of time. Within the first month we had attended a dinner party and similar invites are reciprocated across our friendship group at the development.”

Keith concluded; “The benefits of this lifestyle are not only social, they are also economic too with our first quarter gas bill arriving at just £12! We have never looked back and would urge others to forget the stigma historically associated with such developments and see just how fantastic they are now.”

All Serenity Parks developments are part of the British Holiday & Home Parks Association giving purchasers complete peace of mind.
