Relocating to a new home can present challenges, however one homeowner was secure in the knowledge that moving to a brand-new park home was the right decision to make.
Having lost her Mum and husband, Lin Fox, a secretary who previously lived in Maidstone, moved to the north of the county and chose a Prestige Buckland home at Kingsdown Meadow, a luxury park home development near Sevenoaks in Kent.
“I decided that the time had come for me to downsize and move closer to my sister and friends, and it was a great reason for the much-needed sort out of my possessions that I had kept promising myself,” said Lin. “Having seen the advert, I first visited with a friend just before Christmas and fell in love with the home, the park and its location. I returned with my son and he reassured me that it was as lovely as I had first thought.”
The rural location of the park, close to the North Downs Way and only a few minutes’ drive from the facilities in Sevenoaks, has been perfect for Lin. Initially she had wondered about not being able to walk to the shops but realised, that for three months during the first lockdown, she’d not been able to do this and hadn’t missed it at all.
“Choosing my home, plot and interiors was so straightforward and an exciting part of my move,” said Lin. “As well as my home being absolutely lovely, it’s definitely the neighbours that make this a great place to live. We all help each other out and this helped me settle quickly, especially when my car broke down when I first moved in! Everyone helped me with what I needed, and I feel that I have made friends for life here.”
Lin concluded; “Park homes today are such amazing quality and are warm, cosy, spacious and energy efficient. When we had high winds not long after I moved in my friend called to check I was OK and make sure I hadn’t been blown away! Now she’s visited, she can see that modern park homes are simply fantastic, and I love living in mine!”Discover Kingsdown Meadow
