A new service launched by Kent County Council could not have come at a better time for the residents of our latest park, Kingsdown Meadow, on the outskirts of Sevenoaks.
The service, which combines a ‘hail as you need’ service and timetable with designated stops, will run during the off-peak hours of 9.30am and 2.45pm each Monday to Friday inclusive.
The Sevenoaks Service, which started on 3rd June, is being run by Express Cabs and Couriers and the taxi bus will run like a normal bus with designated stops with the added benefits of passengers being able to hail the service from anywhere that it is safe for it to stop and pull over.
The Sevenoaks Service will provide additional transport for four villages and offer three daily return journeys between Fairseat, Stansted, West Kingsdown and East Hill, providing a link to Otford, where Kings Meadow is, and Sevenoaks. Click here to view a map view of the route.
It will cost just £3 for a single trip, £5 for a return and £1 for a child per journey on the Sevenoaks service.
Timetables will be available on Kent.gov.uk and posted at the stops however, more information can also be found by clicking here.
